The Prince and the Pauper, The Red Badge of Courage, The Awakening. Some of the queues were a bit long, but it was the only tiny issue that I had, the sound was brilliant and the lighting was awesome. The third song from Chevelle's album This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In). The churning riffs of 2004’s Vitamin R (Leading Us Along) progressed into complex songs such as 2011’s Face to the Floor and 2014’s Take Out the Gunman, both of which take inspiration from the murky guitar tones and seething, emotional lyrics favored by TOOL. They didnt have a 71 Chevelle on display(my 1 dreamcar for the moment) but had. The vibe during the show was pretty electric and it was awesome to bump into some familiar faces. The crowd sang along quite loudly to the last three songs. They ended off the show with awesome performances of their hit songs “Send the Pain Below”, “The Red” and “Face to the floor”. Original Lyrics: The hassles of all the screaming.

These Joburg boys truly know how to get the party started. Chevelle stepped onto the stage at 8 PM and completely blew the crowd away with songs like “Jars”, “The Meddler”, “Letter from the Thief”, “Vitamin R” and others. Misheard Lyrics: All the castles of, all the screaming fans. The opening act Shadowclub rocked the Joburg crowd to the max and got them in the mood for a rocking evening. The Big Top Arena is a pretty awesome venue though.
